About IAAMJV

The International Alumni Association of Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya (IAAMJV-USA), founded in July 1991 is a US based non-profit organization founded by a group of Alumni of Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalay (SMJV). The primary goal of this tax-exempt organization is to promote the cause of Professional Education in the Jain community irrespective of sect.

About SMJV

Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya Trust is a more than 110 year old philanthropic trust founded with a mission to promote education among Jains in India while nurturing their religious roots and knowledge. It offers lodging and boarding facility to over 2000 Boys and Girls in various cities of Western India and also supports hundreds of students every year by extending education assistance for pursuing higher studies in India and Abroad.

The LSUI Programme

LSUI is a scholarship programme of IAAMJV for Undergraduate study in India for Indian students. Under this programme Loan Scholarships and assistance is extended to needy students on basis of their merit as well as their financial condition. This programme is run by IAAMJV – India Trust.

The IAAMJV-India is a registered, CSR Certified and FCRA Licensed Trust in India. The scrutiny of the scholarship application forms and disbursement of the loan amount is being carried out following a stipulated process.

Educational assistance in India and its process

IAAMJV – Trust invites applications from the students of Standard 11th, 12th and those pursuing under graduate studies / bachelors programme with a recognized institution.

The steps for the application till disbursement shall be as under:

  1. Applicants are suggested to keep all required documents ready, along with their scanned images, before start of the application since transition to next section of the application shall only be possible after completion of the previous section.
  2. Applicants shall be required to complete all sections of the application form with true and valid details. If you opt to come out of the site with an incomplete form, the details of completed sections shall be saved to save duplication of effort.
  3. On receipt of the completed application from along with all required supporting documents uploaded, the application shall be scrutinized by the authorized officials of the Trust.
  4. The applicant shall be able to see the status of his / her application on the portal all through the acceptance / rejection. Required of the missing details shall also be visible in the status. No separate communication may be expected from the Trust for any incomplete details.
  5. A score shall be assigned to completed and scrutinized applications based on the criteria as defined by the Trust and a merit list will be prepared by the system.
  6. Based on the merit score and availability of funds, applications shall be awarded the loan scholarship. The amount shall be deposited directly into the beneficiary’s account as per the Bank details provided in the application form.
  7. The selection of application for disbursement shall be done on 10th of August, September and November. The applicant can view the status of acceptance on the application portal on www.iaamjv.com
  8. Award of the scholarship is purely at the Trust’s will and cannot be challenged. The Trust is not liable to assign any specific reason or explanation for selection or rejection of any application.
  9. Application shall be valid for consideration only for the academic year for which applicant has applied. For any subsequent year, if further support is expected, the applicant shall be required to apply in respective year.
  10. To ensure rotation of the fund for assistance to students in subsequent years, the awardees are expected to refund the amount to the Trust .within 3 years from the completion of the studies. Though there is no interest being charged, it is the moral duty of all awardees to abide by this norm and strive to refund the amount at earliest possible date.

Yes, this is only a no interest loan. IAAMJV believes that once you successfully graduate and get a Job, You should pay back to the Institution. The recycled money will finance new set of students there by expanding impact of LSUI loan.
